A reminder about the Wishlist Foundation pre-party fundraiser taking place this Monday evening, 7 July, the night before Pearl Jam are live at Leeds (will Ed mention The Who that night?).

And indeed it is. Ed must have been thinking about me and this post when he wrote ‘Wishlist’ all those yesterdays ago.* If you’re going to Pearl Jam‘s Leeds Arena gig on 8 July (or even if you’re not), get down to the Wishlist Foundation pre-party fundraiser the night before.

Feed my eyes

A quick post about the Borderline gig last month. It was such a blast. Thanks again to Pearl Jammer for giving us the support slot for that night on their Ten Tour Revisited.

We felt privileged to have the opportunity at such a great venue; quite apart from Pearl Jam themselves playing there in 1992 (I got to stand where Mike McCready once stood! I’m such a fanboy…), Jeff Buckley played one of his first UK shows there in 1994, and Townes van Zandt played his last ever gig there in 1996.* On the way into the venue they have a wall of photos of artists who have played there. It’s pretty daunting, to be honest.

Find a way back home

Not content with one headline gig at The 100 Club – where Muddy Waters, Clapton, the Stones, the Pistols, Metallica and many, many wonderful, disparate artists have played – Radio Seattle are back there again.

The gig’s tomorrow night, Friday 6 September. We’ve stepped into the breach after a late cancellation. And it will be 100 days since our previous gig there too.*

Next Saturday, 7 September, will be 7886 days since Pearl Jam played the Borderline on their 1992 debut UK tour. So to commemorate this important anniversary, Radio Seattle are supporting Pearl Jammer at this fantastic venue.

Tickets £6 if you tell us you’re going in advance, or turn up with a copy of this flyer. Radio Seattle are on at 8pm. Setlist sorted out: it’s a belter, though you’ve, ahem, zero chance of guessing all the songs that we’ll be playing. Looking forward to seeing what Pearl Jammer have put together!

Only one day to go! Tomorrow night  we’ll be supporting the rather fine Pearl Jammer at the Team McCready Fundraiser for the Wishlist Foundation, in the Ballroom at the Cavendish Arms, Stockwell.
