Sunspots have faded

Radio Seattle are back in action in a couple of weeks’ time. We’re at the Fiddler’s Elbow on Thursday 15 June for the next instalment in our “Grunge is NOT Dead” series, and we’ll be joined by Almagram and Sick Joy.

And it’ll be a range of emotions that we take the stage. Last month we lost Chris Cornell, not just one of Seattle’s finest but one of the great rock musicians. The grunge movement found a gem in Cornell, and it still seems scarcely credible that he’s no longer with us. So there’ll be grief in our hearts, but it’s also a chance to take solace in some classic songs, and to celebrate the life of someone who brought so much joy to so many people.

I hope you can join us for what should be a memorable evening (FB event page here). Doors 7.00pm, tickets £5 on the door or in advance from here. As a taster, here’s ‘Spoonman’ from our last “Grunge is NOT dead” night.
