And indeed it is. Ed must have been thinking about me and this post when he wrote ‘Wishlist’ all those yesterdays ago.* If you’re going to Pearl Jam‘s Leeds Arena gig on 8 July (or even if you’re not), get down to the Wishlist Foundation pre-party fundraiser the night before. It’s taking place at Carpe Diem, and entertainment comes from an excellent Eddie Vedder solo tribute act (I’ve seen him in Pearl Jammer a couple of times, and he’s top notch). There’ll also be an auction and raffle (including the poster below signed by the band) for the Father Billy O’Dwyers among you out there.**
Danni, the organiser, is still on the lookout for more donations for the raffle and auction: if you’ve anything to donate, please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beneficiaries for the night are the Leeds Children’s Heart Surgery Foundation Trust, Brysons Animal Refuge and Leonard Cheshire Disability. So, great causes and a great night’s entertainment, and all with a PJ gig the next night to look forward to!
* It’s ok, I know he wasn’t. Even though I bear an uncanny resemblance at times to the full moon shining off a Camaro’s hood.
** Please bring your ‘Ghost Town’ 7 inch to the event.
